TOMMY MUNDON
Hales Owen's Favourite Comedian
Tommy comes from Hales Owen, born into the typical Black Country environment of pigeon flyers and nail shops. He was born in 1934, at Hasbury and attended the Hasbury Church of England School then later the Boys school . He regularly attended Hasbury Methodist Chapel Sunday School and became secretary of the Young Peoples Guild
He made his first public appearance at a chapel concert party. Variety shows, comedy plays and sketches followed before Tommy became a stand up comedian. His unique style and well thought out material have made him one of the Midlands favourites.
He was a
member of the Black Country Night Out Show from 1975, but today he performs
mainly on his own at clubs and societies
